Easy and quick to make. And it will spice up any outfit.
You will need: fabric of choice, scissors, embroidery floss, stuffing, needle and thread and a piece of cardboard.
1.Cut a circle from your fabric, and a smaller circle from the cardboard.

2.Draw and embroider your pattern on the fabric.

3.Sew a stitch along the edge of the circle.Pull the thread so you have a little sack.

4.Stuff the brooch.I used cotton wool.

5.Place the cardboard circle on the cotton wool.

6.Pull the thread tight and tie a knot. Now sew or glue a safety pin on the back and your done!

Was that easy or what? :)Wear it on your scarfs, shirts or add them as decoration to your bags.

And here are some of my other brooches that I finished last night.

ReplyDeleteMmmm. I could see using this technique with the same fabric the scarf of garment was made of for a very subtle, but interesting, embellishment. Thanks for sharing!
