I came up with this salty pie recipe a few weeks ago.I felt like baking so i opened the fridge, chopped up what I found and threw this yummy thing together.Since then I made it a few times and tried it with different things-you can't do anything wrong,it will always be delicious.
The recipe is so simple even beginners can give it a go.
Things you will need:
-6 eggs
-one cup of yogurt
-one cup of vegetable oil
-two cups of plain flour (you can change this to any flour)
-baking powder
-what ever you have in the fridge (leftover ham, green pepper, tomatoes, vienna sausage,cheese,courgette,mushrooms...anything you can find)
***the size of the cup really does not matter, you can use any cup you want, the important thing is that you use the same cup for measuring every ingredient.
1.In a large bowl break up the 6 eggs.
2.Add one cup of yogurt.
3.Add one cup of vegetable oil.
4.Add two cups of flour.
5.Add baking powder.
6.Add salt and black pepper.(optional)
7.Mix together.
8.Chop up what ever is in the fridge and add to the bowl. Here I used tomatoes, salami and paprika.
9.Mix together with a spoon.
1O.Bake for 25-3O minutes.
11.Serve and enjoy! :) It's really delicious witha cup of yogurt or milk.

Very good! This reminds me of the packaged bicuit mix recepies. (Isn't 1 cup of vegetable oil a bit too much? Just my thoughts.)
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing!
(I saw this on the Totally Tutorials blog.)
Thank you! :) Well I taught the oil would be too much too,but I made it that way the first time and it came out grate,so I didn't want to risk changing it.I think it would work with half of a cup too.
ReplyDeleteIm glad you like it. :)

I didn't have yogurt but found some sour cream. It seemed to work very well. Will try this recipe again as it is a great way to use up little tidbits.
